The Advance Wars Re-Boot remakes have been delayed. Again. This time by circumstances out of Nintendo’s control. Nintendo believes releasing a strategy war game while the conflict in Ukraine is going on would be inappropriate.
However, I think this delay could be a blessing in disguise for Advance Wars. Triangle Strategy is turning out to be a better game than most thought it would be. We don’t really need another Nintendo-published turn-based strategy game for a bit. Release it in the summer if things have calmed down. July or August sounds good.

If Re-Boot Camp mirrors the Advance Wars originals on Game Boy Advance, you’re essentially getting two games in one with this remake, similar to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 remake. When you consider that GBA games were $30 apiece, then yeah, these two games are definitely worth it at $60. They’re both fantastic.
Given that the original GBA Advance Wars was delayed because of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, it’s strange that the original Advance Wars and now these remakes both got delayed because of world events over 20 years apart.
