Not at all surprising. The writing was on the wall when Nintendo announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for a September release and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet also to be released this year. Not to mention Bayonetta 3 is coming in 2022, plus we’re still waiting on a new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Breath of the Wild 2 on top of all that would’ve made things too crowded.
That being said, Nintendo has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to delaying their games. It always pays off for them.
