So Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 gets delayed until next year and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gets pushed up from fall to summer. So now the Switch has Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak all coming out this summer, with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet coming out late this year.

Either something else is getting delayed or Nintendo must know something they haven’t announced yet – like an unannounced game, or an announced game that doesn’t have a release date yet like Bayonetta 3 – is getting plugged into that hole in the fall. Because that seems like a really stacked June and July for the Switch – almost too much.
