So apparently, Hideki Kamiya has his own YouTube channel now. It’s only about a month old with videos about past games he’s worked on mostly populating the channel. However, he posted a video of himself leaving PlatinumGames for the last time and talking about his future. He doesn’t give any clear reason for why he left, but he hints that it had something to do with creative freedom. He also hints that it will be awhile before he’s able to work for another developer again, not until next year – maybe because of contractual reasons. Then he takes off for the unemployment office in what looks like a bright red Lamborghini. It doesn’t look like we’ve heard the last of Mr. Kamiya whatever his future holds.
