Bethesda announced they’re publishing the new Indiana Jones game titled Indiana Jones And The Great Circle, set to come out on Xbox Series S/X and PC sometime in 2024.
The unexpected change to first-person has raised some eyebrows. However, games like Metroid Prime and Dishonored have proven that you can make a great action-adventure game in first-person if the developer knows what they’re doing. It’s being developed by MachineGames who have a lot of experience with first-person games with their work on the Wolfenstein and Quake series over the last ten years.
Harrison Ford’s likeness is being used, but Troy Baker is doing the voice-work for Indy.
Become the legendary archaeologist in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle™, the new first-person action-adventure game from MachineGames in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and executive produced by Todd Howard.
This new journey starring the legendary archaeologist comes from the award-winning team at MachineGames – the minds behind Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus – in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and executive produced by Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard.
Set between “Raiders of the Lost Ark™” and “The Last Crusade™”, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is a first-person, single-player adventure that will take you all over the world, uncovering clues and solving an ancient mystery. Become the adventurer in a race against sinister forces. Your journeys will take you from the hallowed halls of the Vatican and the arid deserts of Egypt to the lush and sunken temples of Sukhothai and the frigid peaks of the Himalayas.
