We already know that one of Dead Cells developers, Motion Twin, is set to release their Early Access version of their new game, Windblown.

Rumors about Evil Empire, Dead Cells other developer, have been swirling as well, as apparently, they’ve been working on a new Prince of Persia roguelike for the last four years, tentatively named The Rogue Prince of Persia, set to be released in Early Access later this year.

However, although this hasn’t been officially announced and is still just a rumor, the art style is supposed to be heavily influenced by Franco-Belgian comics. It’s also being claimed it will receive a steady stream of free content and updates, much like Dead Cells did for years.

Ubisoft is set to release its next Prince of Persia game later this year on Steam, developed by Dead Cells developer Evil Empire. The game, ‘The Rogue Prince of Persia,’ will launch in Early Access on Steam and mark Ubisoft’s first day-one Steam release since 2019.

Sources say the Rogue Prince of Persia is a new Roguelite that will receive constant free updates and evolve over time based on community feedback.

It’s understood that the game has been in development for the past four years and happened thanks to a discussion between Evil Empire and Ubisoft at GDC around 2019, soon after Evil Empire was born.

The game is set to take its art direction inspiration heavily from Franco-Belgian comics.

It’s currently unclear when the game will officially be announced, but the game is targeting an Early Access release on Steam later this year.
