When Ubisoft Mumbai showed off a trailer for their Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake, it didn’t exactly excite. It looked very pedestrian and not what one would expect from a visual remake of a game that was one of the standard-bearers of graphical fidelity of the early 2000s.
Now Insider Gaming has reported that the game has been given to Ubisoft Montreal and started over from scratch and, from the sound of it, it’s not going to be a one-to-one remake of Sands of Time, but more of a reimagining with different game mechanics and a different voice actor for the Prince. We may see something on it soon, but according to the rumor, it’s still very unfinished and a ways off from release.
