After getting scooped by the ESRB on the announcement of their own game, Nintendo decided to officially announce Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for the Switch, and release a trailer for it as well.

It’s a collection of 150 challenges from 13 different NES games, including Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Metroid, Excitebike, Kirby’s Adventure, and others. There’s also a local co-op multiplayer mode. However, no online mode was mentioned in the trailer.

Also a Nintendo World Championships Switch system with art cards, collectible pins, and a physical replica NES game cartridge will be available as well. Nintendo is going all out with this release, and if the NES Edition part of the title is any indication, this probably won’t be a one-off. A Super Nintendo edition is probably already being worked on.

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition releases on Nintendo Switch on July 18th.
