Homeworld 3 was released for PC today. It’s the first mainline game in the series to be developed by Blackbird Interactive and published by Gearbox.
The first two Homeworld games came out in the late ‘90s/early 2000s and were developed by Relic Entertainment, who went on to make the Company of Heroes series. They’re fully 3D outer space real-time strategy games.
Early Steam user reviews for Homeworld 3 are ‘Mixed’ so far, citing a subpar story, short campaign, and balancing issues.
