Today is Memorial Day, and as I casually scroll through my social media feed, I don’t see anything from any American video game developer, publisher, or media site acknowledging the soldiers who have given their lives to protect our constitutional liberties. Yet many of these same companies have openly gay employees who will be trumpeting and celebrating Gay Pride Month in a few days.
Not even Activision, who makes the Call of Duty series, made a post acknowledging Memorial Day. Or Relic Entertainment, who makes the excellent World War II Company of Heroes series, said a word. However, Relic does have what looks like a rainbow banner of some sort already on their profile picture on X. That’s incredibly sad.
This post is dedicated to all the soldiers who bled and died for our freedom. The ones who truly sacrificed, many of whom perished alone and anonymous. The real warriors. The real heroes. We can never thank you enough.
