After the success of the remakes for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4, Capcom isn’t slowing down. In addition to the rumors of Resident Evil 9 being announced next year, Capcom is also heavily rumored to be working on remakes for Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. IGN and VGC are both corroborating.

Resident Evil Zero was originally released on Nintendo GameCube in 2002 and was the first game in the series to feature co-op gameplay. You play as Rebecca Chambers and convict Billy Coen in a prequel story that leads up to the events of Raccoon City and the Spencer Mansion in the original Resident Evil.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica was originally released on Sega Dreamcast in 2000. It follows Chris and Claire Redfield as they try to survive a viral outbreak on a prison island and in Antarctica.

Some thought that Resident Evil 5 would be next in the remake queue for Capcom, but these are two classics from the early 2000s that could use some modernizing.
