Nintendo released a new video for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom featuring locations in Hyrule and some gameplay tidbits. Familiar locales from past Zelda games will make their appearance in Echoes of Wisdom, including Eldin Volcano, the Faron Wetlands, Jabul Waters, and the Gerudo Desert.
Also, for the first time in a 2D Zelda game, we’ll be getting a quest log, as well as horse traversal. Zelda can ride a horse around Hyrule, which suggests the map size for this game might be significantly bigger than past 2D Zelda games. There will also be waypoints to get around with. Zelda’s Bind ability was shown, which she’ll be able to use for traversal, puzzle-solving, and combat. Food-crafting was briefly touched on, with the ability to make smoothies to enhance her abilities.
