The next chapter in Koei-Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series is set to come out soon, called Dynasty Warriors: Origins, and they’ve released a short video detailing its gameplay features with Tomohiko Sho, the game’s producer.

In addition to the 1 vs. 1000 action-combat the series is known for, there will be strategy gameplay in which you can choose to fight as a soldier or a general. Troop morale and the allies you fight with can decide the outcome of battles. You can meet characters from real history as you explore medieval China. There are nine different weapon types as you level-up and increase your proficiency between them in battle, and the different fighting styles.

A demo will be available on November 22nd, and the full game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on January 17, 2025. Check out the gameplay features video below:
