Capcom shared more about the new Onimusha game they have in development called Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

It will take place in Kyoto during the Edo-period of Japan and will feature a new protagonist plus new enemies known as Genma. You’ll be able to explore historic locations and interact with figures from the time period. The combat will focus on slicing through enemies, and then sucking their souls using the Oni Gauntlet. They made a point to share that their goal is not to make an overly difficult experience, so it sounds like this will not be a Soulslike game in any way, but one true to the Onimusha series.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be releasing sometime in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out the game overview and most recent trailer below:
