Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has finally gotten a release date.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater that originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2004. It’s a prequel to the whole series that takes place decades before the events in the first two games. Konami recently released a new trailer with the release date: August 28, 2025.

Konami has slowly been reintegrating itself into the video game industry after taking a hiatus to get into the pachinko machine business in Japan. They’ve mostly been releasing compilations and remakes, but it’s better than nothing given some of the IPs they’ve created over the decades. However, after how things ended between Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima and Konami, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a true continuation of the Metal Gear Solid series – but stranger things have happened.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out the release date trailer below:
