Nintendo has released an overview trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, that gives us a look at the story premise, the world, and the battle system.
The battle system is similar to Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition in which you issue commands to your party and then watch them carry out your commands, much like an MMO. The Skells are touched on, and are customizable mechs that allow for enhanced combat and even farther exploration. You can carry out sidequests for NPCs and build your trust with them through the Affinity system. Also, there will be an online co-op multiplayer mode to carry out missions and take out enemies with other players.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition releases for Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2025. Check out the overview trailer below:
Rebuild humanity on the mysterious planet Mira
The year is 2054. Earth has been destroyed by an intergalactic war between two alien races, and humanity is on the brink of annihilation. A small number of survivors, aboard the USS White Whale, crash land on the vast and untamed planet Mira.
Now, it falls to you, as a member of BLADE, to help bring humanity back from the edge of extinction…with the aid of giant, pilotable robots called Skells!
The visually enhanced edition of this open-world RPG contains newly added story elements and more.
