Clair Obscur: 33 Expedition has only been out a few days, and it’s already sold over a million copies and getting Game of the Year buzz. Congratulation to Sandfall Interactive on their first game as a studio.

Clair Obscur is big, epic RPG with classic, turn-based mechanics and systems in which you set out to stop the Paintress from destroying humanity.

Clair Obscur could’ve, and probably should’ve, been a Ubisoft game. Sandfall Interactive is made of former Ubisoft developers and it’s a $50 game on Steam, $60 for the Deluxe Edition. Proof you can still make a superb AAA game without bankrupting your company and/or price-gouging your customer base. Take note, Nintendo and Ubisoft.
