A few days after announcing that Grand Theft Auto VI would not release until 2026, Rockstar has sated the appetite of patient fans by releasing the game’s second trailer. This is the first new look we’ve seen of GTA VI for almost a year and a half. It’s only a story trailer, but if Rockstar’s website for the game is anything to go by, they’ve put a lot of time and effort into the story, characters, and cinematics. The visuals are impressive.

Grand Theft Auto VI takes place in Vice City in the Sunshine State of Leonida. You play as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a young couple looking for a way out to a better life.

Grand Theft Auto VI releases on May 26, 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out the new trailer below:

Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
