EA has announced Battlefield 6 with a big cinematic trailer. Unfortunately, there’s no gameplay, but it looks to have what you want in a modern Battlefield experience. It starts with the president of the United States preparing to give a speech, and then cuts to shots of combat, destruction, and ridiculous amounts of collateral damage set to the backdrop of Masters of War by Bob Dylan. Followed by the promise of the multiplayer reveal on July 31, in which hopefully we’ll get to see some gameplay.
The Battlefield series is the closest thing there is to a real Call of Duty competitor, even though it has a more traditional release cycle and doesn’t release annually. EA has invested a lot of resources into the future of Battlefield, creating Battlefield Labs in which players will be able to come to Battlefield Studios and play Battlefield 6 before release.
Meanwhile, there’s no release date for Battlefield 6 yet, but it will be eventually releasing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out the reveal trailer below:
