Keeper is one of the most unique games we’ve seen come from Xbox in quite a while. It doesn’t fit the usual category of what has traditionally been most successful on the platform. It’s not a shooter, racer, or sports game, but a surreal adventure-puzzler where you play as a lighthouse who goes on an adventure with his bird companion. There is no dialog, yet a story is being told of friendship, teamwork, and exploration. The studio behind this experiment is Double Fine Productions of Psychonauts and Psychonauts 2 fame. If you’re looking for something engaging but relaxing, colorful, beautiful, and maybe even a little inspiring, give Keeper a look.
Keeper is out now for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out the launch trailer below:

From Lee Petty and Double Fine Productions, creators of Stacking, Headlander, RAD, and Psychonauts, Keeper is a beautiful and surreal third-person, atmospheric, puzzle adventure, and a story told without words.
On an island in a long-lost sea, a forgotten lighthouse stands dormant in the shadow of a distant mountain peak. As withering tendrils spread and coalesce, it awakens. Taken with a mysterious sense of purpose and joined by a spirited seabird, it embarks upon a heartening tale of unlikely companionship, an odyssey of mystifying metamorphosis, and an unexpected journey towards the center of the island, into realms beyond understanding.
