Developer M2 is mostly known for their expert emulation of classic titles, not for making their own games, but that’s what they’ve done with NIGHT STRIKER GEAR, a fully 3D shoot ‘em up, and a sequel to the decades-old NIGHT STRIKER from the late ‘80s/early ‘90s that released only in Japan. You play as the Night Striker, a member of the United Nations Special Tactics Action Force, who is trying to protect dignitaries from around the world who have gathered to celebrate the opening of a new resort called the Lotus Layer.
