R-Type Dimensions III follows the excellent R-Type Dimensions EX that released in 2018. R-Type Dimensions III has been completely rebuilt from the ground-up with some new impressive visuals, the ability to switch between the new reconstructed and classic arcade graphics, remastered audio, local co-op, and other quality-of-life features.

R-Type Dimensions EX had an easy mode that gave the player infinite lives and continues so you could actually see the whole game to the end no matter how many times you died. It’s likely R-Type Dimensions III will have that feature as well, as it makes these types of games eminently more playable and enjoyable. That being said, from the trailer, the new visuals already look fantastic and the game is still unfinished.
