Gearbox offered a new look at Borderlands 4 at The Game Awards.

Unfortunately, while it’s a nice get-you-hyped-up montage, there’s not a lot of gameplay that’s shown. We do get quick shots of a little action where we see a grappling hook being used, some melee combat, and a few other quick shots of rounds being fired off, but other than that, it’s a lot of flash. But do we really need to see more gameplay? It’s Borderlands, we know what we’re getting, and it’s always good to have more Borderlands for our looter-shooter fix, which the series not only does very well, but pretty much invented.

Borderlands 4 is coming out sometime in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out the new first look trailer below:
