Mina the Hollower was announced years ago by Yacht Club Games, the development studio behind the Shovel Knight series. In fact, it’s the first game announced from the studio that isn’t connected to Shovel Knight in any way. You play as Mina, who’s tasked with restoring the Spark Generators in the world of Tenebrous Isle. She can choose between multiple weapon types as she battles and explores her way through the isles’ different districts using her hollowing ability to dig underground. Difficult combat, puzzles, and exploration await in a dense world of horror and fantasy.

If you have any affinity for 2D Zelda and/or Castlevania from the Game Boy Color era, mixed with some Dark Souls, or the Shovel Knight series, this might be one to put on your wishlist. It’s getting a lot of very positive buzz and is only $20 full price.
